Grim tidings indeed

Eternal unmoved stillness, flashes in the pan

Silence-fettered utterings, to kiss the outstretched hand

Grim tidings, fair folk

Grim tidings, indeed

Tore the apple core from the seed

Stem for stem, thick and thin

Lithe and nimble, in the skin

Grim tidings indeed.

Woe betide you, hardy wanderer

Tread not here, tardy plunderer

Grave warning, under her

Grim tidings; indeed

Dig and claw, the raven’s caw

Underneath the gaping maw

Lord of death, fell and fair

Grim tidings: Indeed

Mourner is but sorcerer

Supreme in all, but this, indeed

With quick wit and lightning speed

Grim, tidings indeed

Venom of God, fall on my face

That I might feel your wrath, your hate

Vengeance enact upon me, if my heart be not true

Grim. Tidings indeed

Bind with Frið, through brine and pith

Purify, that I may die

In good stead, standing tall

Grim Tidings-Indeed

Noble Hel, Sister of Wolf

May I fear not the final gulf

‘Twixt life and death, this world and next

Grim-tidings Indeed

Embrace me and salve my wounds

As I offer what I am, my very flesh still bruised

With sting of death, and hint of pain

Flushed no more from end’s refrain

Grim tidings; In-deed.
